Yesterday’s Work Wrapup

It started to be really cloudy and rumblings of thunder around 3pm which seemed the perfect time to call it a day. I needed to retrieve Milo from doggie daycare and I was already exhausted from sweating all morning. The sidewalls were all finished and the roof boards needed screwing down. I thought that would be all I’d get done for the day.

I headed to get Milo and the thunderstorms rolled through and they thankfully cooled the weather for awhile. It dropped from 95F to 75F after the rain and there was still a breeze. So once I was home again I headed back outside and worked on roofing. I need more washers with backers and I need to screw down the ends of the metal panels furthest from the shed. But it’s pouring all morning and it’s a half day of school for Cody today. So that job will wait until next week.

Jobs remaining are
> figure out a better way to screw down the ridge cap
> trim out the shed
> build and hang a door
> paint interior and exterior
> close gaps at top with wire mesh to keep critters out
> put all the RV and camper supplies inside
