Morning Efforts On Shed Deck

The RV gives a great deal of shade for the morning so it was great working out there early in the day. But as the afternoon arrives the sun has shifted and no more shade is available. That’s okay. I got most of the grunt work finished this morning.

I set all the base pieces together and checked for level. One post seemed to dip lower then the three other posts. So I grabbed my shovel and prepared to dig holes under the other three supports to lower them down. Then I had a lightbulb moment. I had asked the Holy Spirit to help me figure this deck out and He came through! He suggested I cut a new 4x4 higher then the current one and then reinstall it. Brilliant!

Now all four posts are in their holders and every beam is level. Yeah! After lunch I hope to get the boards screwed down and the deck will be done except for staining. I need to pick up the screws from Home Depot tomorrow morning I use to attach the walls. They’re Timberloc 4” and so very easy to use. Self drilling and they have a hex type head so they’re easy to drive in or pull out as needed.

Hoping to get the three existing walls up tomorrow and then I can focus on building the fourth wall. Well once I determine how I want to build it.
