Finally Feels Like Progress Made

It took most of the day to pull out all the staples from the siding to reuse. If lumber weren’t so expensive right now it might have been worth it to toss that siding and start fresh! Oh well, at least I’m saving the landfill from overflow.

I think I’ll have enough paneling to complete the front wall and door. I’ll find out next week when I start working on it again. And I’m hoping my 2” staple gun still works since I haven’t used it in 3 years. I guess I’ll oil it and try it out Monday and pray it staples.

It took some ingenuity and wrangling but I managed to hang the bigger pieces of siding. I might have to trim the short sides a bit to make them fit. I am pleased with the progress. I will need to look at my corner rafter holders again because I’m thinking there might be a problem with their placement. I just don’t have enough experience building roofs to know exactly what to expect.

So for today I’m done with outside work and waiting for Cody to be home from school soon.
